Why is drinking filtered water healthier than drinking tap water or bottled water?
Tap water is one of the most convenient ways to stay hydrated, but it is not the healthiest. Do you really know what is in your tap water? There could be a number of contaminants including aluminum, arsenic, chlorine, fluoride, etc. Some of these contaminants can be detected with a naked eye or by smell, but most of them are undetectable because they are colorless and odorless.
These toxic contaminants present dangers to your health including higher risk of cancer, gastrointestinal and liver disease, skin problems, learning disabilities in children, premature aging and many, many more.
More and more we are being told to boil our water before using it, because it is has been over contaminated. More than half of the chemicals found in municipal water are not within regulations and even when they are, the limits are too lenient. It is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to drinking tap water.
More than 25% of bottled water contains tap water. There isn’t any real assurance that bottled water is safer than tap water. In fact, most bottled water brands bottle and purify municipal water, but bottled water is not as regulated as tap water so it may or may not have received additional filtration.
Furthermore, drinking from plastic contains its own set of problems. It can increase the risk of prostate and breast cancer; can cause early puberty and learning behaviors, and much more. Not only is it unhealthy for our bodies, but plastic hurts the environment as well. By creating an overwhelming amount of waste in our landfills because they take over 1,000 years to bio-degrade.
Avoid tap and bottled water by using a water filtration system for your home or business. Walter filters provide better tasting and smelling, healthier, crystal clear water by removing harsh contaminants. You will still have the convenience of obtaining your water from your faucets, but you will have the peace of mind of knowing it is safer for consumption.
